How good are your graphics? This project conducted by COP members resulted in an objective tool to grade your graphics.
The goal of this project is to develop an objective method for evaluating existing console graphics.
Can existing graphics be evaluated and improved on using an objective method or “scorecard”?
In an ongoing effort to improve console graphics, working subgroups from the Center for Operator Performance have developed COSA (Console Operator Situational Awareness) graphic criteria and the Data to Information Graphic Design Manual. To continue this effort they will develop an objective evaluation criteria that will assist those who design and use graphics in evaluating their existing graphics.
The deliverables for this project will include guidelines that can be used to evaluate the quality of console graphics.
